Mentoring

The Prison to Purpose™ mentoring program provides support, accountability, and reinforcement for the former inmates from the PAL™ program upon their release from prison.

The mentoring department was established in 2006 with Dale and Jan Sharp as Mentor Coordinators. They have developed a network of people throughout the state of Arkansas who desire to assist those who have re-entered the free-world. In addition to Prison to Purpose™ conferences, mentors are provided with other training materials to assist them in the mentoring process.

The goals of P2P Mentors:

  • Remind the ex-offender of the training received in PAL™
  • Connect the ex-offender with a local church
  • Establish the ex-offender in the free-world

Testimonies from Mentors

Carol is doing terrific and is such a blessing to me. She is absolutely delightful to be around and loves the Lord so much. She attends church with me regularly - even choir practice. Everyone who meets her just loves her. She told me yesterday that having a ride to church and knowing someone who can introduce her to people in the church has made all the difference as far as being able to be dedicated in her attendance - which we all know is so very important in recovery. I am truly enjoying just watching God work in her life and hearing her witness for the Lord everywhere we go. The mentoring program is thus far a success in our situation. Carol and I are rejoicing at God's working and are so grateful to Him and P2P™.
